The Belgrade: Grand International Film Festival (BGIFF) is being produced by obtaining sponsors from Serbia’s private sector, its government, as well as those living in foreign countries . Sponsorship opportunities involve three types of sponsorships:
1. Presenting Sponsor (1): This sponsor will be included in all international press releases, web and Internet sites, on billboards in major film festival cities, in radio. TV, newspaper, and magazine coverage and much more.
2. Backup Sponsors (8): Premier screening, Opening night premiere & reception, Closing night premiere & reception, Press room, Hospitality room, Special event, Transportation, Official printer Etc.
3. In-kind Sponsors (no limit): They donate goods and services instead of money and as all the above will be included in the festival program.

BELGRADE: GRAND INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The festival will be a joint product – a corporation consisting of Serbia’s government representatives and the representatives from the private sector. It will be a type of film festival that in the competition category will award the best films, actors, directors, screenwriters, cinematographers… Documentaries, animated films, short film and films of the filmmaking novices will be awarded as well. Each year the festival will also give an award to the most deserving Serbian filmmaker/actor. Besides, filmmakers will be encouraged to present films in the out of competition category as well. It is expected by organizer that all those involved with the festival will truly strive that the festival becomes a success, that all involved will volunteer and have the same goal in mind. The first year is going to be hard, but together, those involved will strive to do all they can for Belgrade’s 1st Grand International Film Festival to become a lasting one and one of the best in Eastern Europe. Projected time of the first festival, the film/video market and the various symposiums that will gather filmmakers from around the world is going to take place in Belgrade, from October 1 - 10, 2011.

Serbia’s government involvement is expected to be represented or acknowledged by the City of Belgrade, The Presidency of the Serbian Parliament and assisted by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Diaspora. Because of the poor economic situation in today’s Serbia, and the post-war attempts to rebuild the country, it will be of utmost importance for all partners - the government as well as the private sector - to clearly explain/describe how they see themselves in that structure and how and to what extent they can individually contribute so that the festival becomes a success. I truly believe that the above five branches of the government need to get involved – not that much monetarily but as ones who donate services or goods in exchange for sponsorships. These are expected to do as much for the festival as their modest financial situation allows them to do so. This very act is extremely important because it will symbolize the governmental support of this festival, a support that breeds credibility, importance and status, a support that expresses Serbia’s need and sincere desire to branch out worldwide, and by creating a better understanding of Serbia with other countries of the world, enhance its country’s economy – people’s standard of living. Most importantly, government’s involvement will encourage many in the private sector to become a main sponsor or any kind of sponsor of the festival

Thus, government’s real partners are expected to be represented by the private sector that alone or together will need provide $1,000,000.- so that this festival can take place in 2011. The producers and their talented team are providing immediately sufficient time to explore and design ways and means that they know attract film companies, filmmakers, actors, journalists and all kinds of businessmen to come to the festival. American producers’ world marketing machinery will among other things work close with their Belgrade experts in order to make nationally and internationally sure that everyone’s needs and reasons for coming to the festival have been explored and justified. Therefore, this type of working together partners will definitely include sponsors who are expected to be Serbian as well as foreign privately owned companies. Besides their sponsorships of the festival, these sponsors will be actually be the ones who through arts will be opening doors to a new era in Serbia’s cultural, economic and political life. Truly, the Belgrade 2011: Grand International Film Festival can become a reality and an unforgettable event because of its city and its people, the country, its history and hospitality and much more. The BGIFF can provide all it takes for the world to want to come to this grand festival again and again… Please refer to the attached page that tells what will happen, why and when before the actual BGIFF takes place. This one-year time span will be used for an all media aggressive marketing of the festival. However, only after the signing of a $1,000,000.- contract ( not to be paid in full at once) with sponsor/sponsors and a deposit of $50,000.- (that is taken out of the $1,000,000.- amount), that marketing will begin and already in September, 2010 , a month before the World Premiere of the American film will launch the festival and make the world become aware that the Belgrade 2011: Grand International Film Festival will truly be held from October 1-10, 2011 in Belgrade.

BEOGRAD: GRAND INTERNACIONALNI FILMSKI FESTIVAL

Za razliku od mnogih filmskih festivala u svetu koje drzava finansira i od Beogradskog Festa koji je u svetu poznat kao jedna velilka revija filmova i kao takav nije jedna takmicarska manifestacija, Beograd 2011: Grand Internacionalni Filmski Festival ima za cilj da priznanjem najboljih filmova, aktora i filmskih radnika sveta postigne jedan politicko-kulturni konzensus nasih ljudi u zemlji i u diaspori kako bi se zajednickim radom otvorila vrata jednom ekonomskom preporodu Srbije. Iz tih razloga, beogradski filmski festival ce biti baziran na ekonomsko-kulturnoj saradnji patnera zainteresovanih za ovu vrstu festivala. Medju partnerima u organizacionom odboru festivala, pored americkih organizatora istog, bice i drzavne ustanove, privatni sector kao i grupa najistaknutih filmskih radnilka i aktora Srbije i diaspore. Taj organizacioni odbor ce funkcionisati u vidu jedne saradnje stranih i domacih strucnjaka u kojoj ce svi ucesnici nastojati da ucine sve ono sto im je u mogucnosti kako bi beogradski filmski festival postao jedan od najrenomiranijih filmskih dogadjaja istocne Evrope. Samo jednim nesebicnim zalaganjem svih zainteresovanih i odgovornih za festival i namerom privatnog sektora da finansiski podrzi ovu manifestaciju, jednim grandioznim, svetskim marketovanjem bogate istorije i tradicija naseg naroda, jednim prikazivanjem prirodnih lepota nase zemlje i sa svima vec poznatim gostoprimstvom gradjana Beograda, mogu da se i na ovaj nacin otvore vrata jednog ekonomsko-kulturnog preporoda Srbije.

Danas ima u svetu oko 50 filmskih festivala jer su internacionalni filmski festivali jedna od najjacih marketinga nekog grada, neke zemlje. Tako naprimer, treca godina tajlandskog internacionalnog festivala u Bankoku je preobrazila ekonomiju ove zemlje – turizmom i stranim investicijama. Poznato je da veliki broj stranih filmskih kompanija, medju njima i nekoliko americkih zahvaljujuci filmskim festivalima vec uveliko koriste prirodne lepote Tailanda, velikog broja evropskih zemalja, zemalja Juzne Afrike, Juzne Amerike i drugih. Da bi Beograd i nasa zemlja doziveli jedan kulturno-ekonomski preporod, jednu jaku Srbiju, treba pokusati da se i putem jednog ove vrste filmskog nagradnog festivala na umetnicki nacin to nesto postigne kako bi i iz godine u godinu taj isti uspeh nastavio da se ostvaruje – sve to radi boljeg ekonomskog stanja, bolje privrede a naravno i naseg prosperiteta i stabilnosti u svetu. Iz ovog razloga, treba se zajednicki i do maksimuma vec sada zaloziti da se Beogradski 2011: Grand Internacionalni Filmski Festival sto pre ostvari. U prilogu je iukratko opisan plan dvogodisnjeg marketovanja BGIFF-a.
